Cubicle decor

So what do you add to your beige cell to make it more homey?

I have little goodies like toy cars, a statue of Gutenberg, a miniature of the chopping block used to behead Henry's wives (that makes me smile when I think of some folks here), photos of my cats and my hubby, some peacock feathers in a vase, a picture of the two of us drinking wine in Germany, a mosaic pencil holder...lots of paper and crap.

Pictures of my cats, dog, boyfriend, and I listen to radio all day, so I'm not bothered by office noise, as much.

    Oh yeah...and a STITCH figurine. :)

yay - radio!! that must make up for (somewhat) the basement thing.

I don't even try to decorate ... it just depresses me further.

Although I must admit that my computer screen saver is a giant picture of my puppy, Jake. And that makes me smile EVERY DAY.

I wish I could listen to the radio, but I'm just too close to other people. I can listen to things on the computer, with headphones, but they recently banned all MP3s on work machines. And our firewall doesn't allow streaming radio, so that leaves nothing. Until I cna get an iPod, that is. :)

      What's a STITCH figurine?

Hi, I just joined after Google led me to you (searched "cubicle decor").

I've got to go buy some more "wig pins"--they are great for pinning up pics and are almost invisible (even though they are not beige). Maybe Sally Beauty Supply will have them.

I've also used little magnet strips to put up prints on my metal 'cupboard covers.' So I call it my gallery and the current exhibition is Bouquets from the Golden Age (Dutch and Flemish floral artists from the 17th and 18th centuries). I have always loved this type of art and found a museum guidebook at a used book store. I separate all the pages with a little letter opener and voila! A gallery exhibition. I'll have to change it once a month (and find more museum guidebooks!)

Hope some of you still check this site!

Well, I'm gonna 'reply' to my own post! Found out those neat pins are also called 'T-pins' and you can find them in the quilters' supply section at Wal-Mart.

I think I going to make a sign for the outside of my cube that says Welcome to 'Gallery Cube Thirteen' (my cube address).

Also I find it amusing to look at my profile and see that I have "0 friends" Thanks a lot.... :)
